VPN Connectivity

NOTE: Before connecting to your organization's local network you may be asked to:
  • Install security certificates
  • Download and install a required VPN app
  • Enter your login credentials

Adding a VPN Connection:

  1. Swipe the status bar down using two fingers
  2. Tap the "Settings" icon
  3. Under "Wireless & networks", tap "More"
  4. Tap "VPN", press the "Menu" icon and tap "Add VPN profile"
  5. Enter the required VPN settings
  6. Tap "Save"

Connecting to a VPN:

  1. Access the "Settings" menu and tap "More" under "Wireless & networks"
  2. Tap "VPN"
  3. Select the VPN that you wish to connect to
  4. Enter the log in credentials and tap "Connect"

Disconnecting from a VPN:

  1. Open the Notifications panel by dragging the status bar down using one finger
  2. Tap the VPN notification
  3. Tap "Disconnect"

Using Your One max as a Wireless Router

NOTE: In order to use this feature and share your data connection with other phones using Wi-Fi Hotspot, you need to have an approved data plan. WARNING! Depending on your carrier agreement, using this feature might result in extra costs!

  1. Drag the status bar down using two fingers
  2. Tap "Settings"
  3. Tap "More" under "Wireless & networks"
  4. Press the "Mobile network sharing" option
  5. Tap "Portable Wi-Fi hotspot settings"
  6. Optionally, enter a router name
  7. Select the type of security, and set a password for mobile hotspot. Note: you can select "None" in security, but your network will not be secured, so it's not recommended to do so
  8. Select the "Portable Wi-Fi hotspot" option to enable the wireless router

Sharing Your Phone's Internet Connection via USB Tethering

Using USB tethering, you can share your phone's data connection with your computer. NOTE: in order to use this feature, you may need to have a USB Tethering plan added to your agreement with the carrier. WARNING! Using this feature may result in extra charges, depending on the type of carrier agreement.

  1. Drag the status bar down using two fingers
  2. Make sure that "Mobile data" is enabled. If it isn't, tap the respective tile in the Quick Settings panel
  3. Tap "Settings"
  4. Under "Wireless & networks", tap "More"
  5. Tap "Mobile network sharing" and then tap "USB network settings" > "USB tethering" (Or "Mobile network sharing" > "USB tethering")
  6. Connect your smartphone to your computer using the USB cable that came in your phone's box. If necessary, download the latest USB drivers
