Using iTunes to Transfer Contacts:

iTunes is a great syncing tool, as it allows you to synchronize your iPhone's contacts with a Google account. In turn, this makes it very easy for HTC One (M8) users to transfer their iPhone contacts to the Android device. Synced contacts include contact images, names, numbers, email addresses and any other information provided. For this method you need a computer with Internet access and iTunes installed.

  1. Launch iTunes on the computer
  2. Connect the iPhone to the PC using the USB cable
  3. After it connects, the iPhone will appear in iTunes. Click it
  4. From the phone's summary page, click the "Info" tab
  5. Mark the check box next to "Sync Contacts With"
  6. Select "Google Contacts" from the drop-down menu
  7. Enter your Google account's log in details if you haven't done so before. Alternatively, you can click "Configure" and choose an existing account

  9. On your HTC One (M8), register the same account by going to "Settings" > "Accounts"
  10. Allow the account to sync contacts with your HTC device and you're all set

Using iCloud to Transfer Contacts:

iCloud is a backup service that features the option of exporting iPhone contacts in the form of a vCard file. In case you've used the service on your iPhone before, then your contacts should be backed up on your iCloud account. For this method you need access to a computer with Internet.

  1. Launch your computer's Internet browser and go to https://www.icloud.com/
  2. Sign in with your iCloud account
  3. Click "Contacts" to view the list of backed up contacts
  4. Select the ones that you wish to share with your Android device
  5. Click the button shaped like a cog wheel (lower-left side) and choose "Export vCard"

  7. Import the VCF file to "Google Contacts". Alternatively, connect the HTC One (M8) to your computer via USB, and copy the vCard file to the "sdcard" directory. Then, launch the "People" application on your smartphone, tap the "Menu" icon > "Manage contacts" > "Import / Export contacts" > and choose to import from SD / storage. If necessary, pick an account and the proper vCard file

Transferring Contacts via "Send Anywhere":

"Send Anywhere" is an iOS and Android app that can transfer contacts and various other file types using a P2P connection. You don't need access to a computer for this approach.
