Changing the Ringtone, Notification and Alarm Sounds:
- From the home screen, swipe the "status" bar down using two fingers
- Tap "Settings"
- Go to "Personalize"
- Under "Sound", tap "Ringtone", select the desired ringtone and tap "Apply"
- Tap "Notification sound", tap the desired option and tap "Apply"
- Tap "Alarm", choose the desired alarm and press "Apply"
Changing the Home Wallpaper:
- While viewing a home screen, tap and hold an empty space
- Select "Home screen wallpaper" from the pop-up menu
- Select the location of the wallpaper:
- Tap "Gallery" to crop, resize and set a wallpaper from your pictures, and tap "Done"
- Tap "Computer photos" to use "HTC Get Started" and select a photo from your computer
Customizing the Launch Bar:
The launch bar can be used to place four of the most used shortcuts, giving you one-touch access to the desired applications. All the icons in the launch bar except for the "All Apps" icon can be replaced.
- While on a home screen, tap and hold the icon that you wish to remove
- Drag the icon on top of the "Trash can" icon and release it
- Tap the "Apps" icon
- From the apps drawer, tap and hold an app, and drag it on top of the empty area on the launch bar
- Release the app to lock it into place
Adding a Widget to the Home Screen:
- Press and hold an empty area on the home screen
- From the pop-up menu, tap "Add apps and widgets"
- Tap the "arrow down" button and select "Widgets"
- Browse through your widgets, or use the "Search" function to find the desired one
- Tap and hold the widget that you wish to add, and drag > drop it on top of the desired home screen panel
Changing the Settings of, and Resizing a Widget:
Certain widgets can be modified (such as the "People" widget) by accessing their settings menu. To do this:
- Press and hold a widget existing on your home screen
- Drag the widget on top of the "Settings" icon and drop it
- Customize the widget's properties as you see fit
- To resize a widget, tap and hold it while on the home screen
- If a border appears, this means that the widget can be resized. Drag the borders to shrink or enlarge the widget
Adding Shortcuts to the Home Screen:
- While on a home screen, tap and hold an empty area
- Select "add apps and widgets"
- Tap the button shaped like a triangle pointing downwards, and select "Apps" or "Shortcuts"
- Browse through the apps / shortcuts, or use the "Search" option to find the desired one
- Press and hold a shortcut, and drag > drop it on top of the desired home screen
Adding / Removing Home Screens:
NOTE: If BlinkFeed is enabled, home screens cannot be added before the BlinkFeed panel.
- Tap and hold an empty area on the home screen
- In the pop-up menu, select "Manage home screen pages"
- Swipe left and tap the "+" icon to add a new home screen
- To remove a home screen, swipe to it and tap "Remove"
- Press the "Back" button when done editing
Changing the Main Home Screen:
You can set HTC BlinkFeed or any other panel as the main home screen. To do so:
- Press and hold an empty area on a home screen
- Select "Manage home screen pages"
- Swipe right or left until you reach the panel that you wish to set as the main one
- Tap "Set as home" and press the "back" button
Creating Folders on the Home Screen or Launch Bar:
- From the home screen or the app drawer, tap and hold the desired application
- Drag the app on top of another one, in order to create a folder (on the home screen, in the app drawer or on the launch bar)
- Tap a folder to open it, and tap the title bar to edit the folder's name
- To add more apps, open the folder, tap "+", select the desired apps and press "Done"
- To remove an app from a folder, open it, then tap and hold the shortcut and drag it on top of the "Trash can" icon
