Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:
- Connect the HTC One S9 to your computer via USB
- When prompted, enable “Media device (MTP)”, otherwise enable the option from the “Notification” area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer and locate the desired audio files on the PC storage
- Copy the audio files and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones” and “notifications” directories
- After the transfer ends, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
Change the General Ringtone:
- Open the apps drawer
- Launch “Settings”
- Tap “Personalize” > “Ringtone”
- Select the desired ringtone and tap “Apply”
Set a Custom Ringtone to a Contact:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be set to contacts located on the SIM card or the device’s internal memory.
- Tap “Apps” on the home screen
- Launch “People” and select the desired contact
- Tap “Ringtone”
- Select the ringtone you want to use for the specific contact
- Tap “Apply”
Change the Notification Alert:
- Open “Settings”
- Tap “Sound & Notifications”
- Tap “Notification sound” and select the desired notification sound to use
- Tap “Apply”
