Restore Applications:

  1. Make sure the phone is connected to a Wi-Fi network
  2. Open the apps drawer
  3. Go to “Settings
  4. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup and reset
  5. Tap “Restore from HTC backup” and follow the on-screen steps to complete the process

Restore Contacts:

  1. Open “Settings” and scroll to “Personal
  2. Tap “Accounts & Sync
  3. If needed, sign in with the Google account used for the backup
  4. Tap “Menu” > “Sync all” to restore contacts

Restore Media Files from a Windows Computer:

  1. Connect the HTC One A9s to your computer via USB
  2. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
  3. Locate the media files backed up on the computer and copy them
  4. Transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory
  5. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray
  6. Safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

Restore Media Files from a Mac Computer:

  1. Connect the HTC device to your Mac via USB
  2. Launch the File Explorer on the Mac
  3. Use the Explorer to locate the media file backups on the Mac storage
  4. Copy the files and transfer them back on the phone storage, preferably in the folder(s) they originate from or the “Media” directory
  5. Once the transfer is done, drag the phone’s virtual drive from the desktop and drop it into the “Trash can” to eject it
  6. You can now safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
