Restore Applications:
- Make sure the phone is connected to a Wi-Fi network
- Open the apps drawer
- Go to “Settings”
- Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup and reset”
- Tap “Restore from HTC backup” and follow the on-screen steps to complete the process
Restore Contacts:
- Open “Settings” and scroll to “Personal”
- Tap “Accounts & Sync”
- If needed, sign in with the Google account used for the backup
- Tap “Menu” > “Sync all” to restore contacts
Restore Media Files from a Windows Computer:
- Connect the HTC One A9s to your computer via USB
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the media files backed up on the computer and copy them
- Transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory
- After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray
- Safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
Restore Media Files from a Mac Computer:
- Connect the HTC device to your Mac via USB
- Launch the File Explorer on the Mac
- Use the Explorer to locate the media file backups on the Mac storage
- Copy the files and transfer them back on the phone storage, preferably in the folder(s) they originate from or the “Media” directory
- Once the transfer is done, drag the phone’s virtual drive from the desktop and drop it into the “Trash can” to eject it
- You can now safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
