Problem With T-mobile Dash

what it do, everybody

my cuz sent me this great phone but the battery had problems so a decided to buy a new one, i ordered it, it arrived, but my cell won't turn on i don't know whats going on... because the phone is new an also the battery is new,i measured the battery and it has 3.7v so its full but the phone won't turn on even when its charging it doesn't show any signal of life,neither the screen nor the leds turn on while is charging..


if anybody has an idea of whats going on I'd appreciate the help

Try a Hard Reset my HTC Tytn screwed up once

How to Hard Reset a T-Mobile Dash and HTCS620 without the operating system:

Turn the handheld off, hold the two soft keys (the dashes to the left and right of the phone buttons) hold the power button for 1-2 seconds and then release the soft keys. It should prompt you to clear storage. The “send” button is considered as the green phone button.

My first Dash shut off one day and I thought the battery was bad. I took it in to the T-Mobile store. The associate tried his battery and the display battery and it wouldn't turn on. Luckily I had insurance on the phone because they had me send it back for a new one. That was the only way my situation, which was the same as yours, was resolved.

I have the T-Mobile Dash and it was working perfectly. I came home from school to put it on the charger when I noticed I had one unread text message. I unlocked my phone and read the message. I pressed the power button once so I could get to the menu where it gives me option of locking or turning off my phone. My phone wouldn't go to that menu even after I was pushing it for about 30 times. So then, I figured it was just a de-fect and I took the battery out of the phone. Afterwards, I tried pressing the power button plenty of times and putting it on the charger and it wouldn't turn on. The yellow/orange light comes on when trying to charge it and when I press the power button the light green light comes on but still a black screen.

I've tried smooth and hard reset, removing the battery, removing the SIM, putting it on the charger, and waiting. This is my Mom's back-up phone and she doesn't know that it's broke and I desperately need to fix it for some answers.

Any ideas or suggestions?
