i owned a p4000 for about 4 weeks and LOVED it. one day, it slipped off the couch and onto the CARPET and stopped working. nothing worked. no charging indicator, wouldn't turn on, etc... it had no sign of dammage (no scratches, bumps,
lcd was fine, etc...) and i brought it to Telus and when they opened it they said the moisture stickers were red so since it had taken moisture, there was nothing they could do.
I couldn't believe it!!! the phone had NEVER seen water. not even used in the rain!!!!! the tech support guy said it maybe absorbed some of my sweat from being in my pants... if this is the case, this phone is a serious piece of CRAP!!!! and i definitely don't recommend it unless you plan on wearing kid gloves anytime you go near it...
anyways, i'm wondering what i can do... the replacement cost is upwards of 600$ which isn't exactly chump change for me. I need a solution because right now i'm on the verge of either going with another carrier and a blackberry (i know... a taboo word around here! haha).
i apologize for the tone of this post, but when we spend so much money for a product, we expect it to be worth it...
