T-Mobile Dash?

Okay, so I'm using a Samsung Blackjack right now and it kinda sucks. lol. It's the first one. Anyway, I'm thinking of getting a new phone. I found a good deal on a T-Mobile Dash.

Is this phone a good phone? And can you...err...mod it? lol.

Plus, if I DO mod it, will I get extraneous charges and whatnot? I've heard scary stories! :X

Any one suggest any other phones? I've also been thinking about the BB Curve or 8700.

I have the Dash and am quite happy with it. I don't know much about modding it, but it's a good solution for email, internet (especially with built in wifi) and other PIM stuff. I haven't had any problems as far as freezing up and the like.

If you need push email, then Blackberry is more for you. If you want a BB, I'd suggest the Curve over the older 8700. More features. All phones you've mention have EDGE speed.
