Friends of mine are engineering students at Cal Poly Pomona
University. Over the summer they created these cool mobile apps
called mTools. One of the apps is called mShare which you can send
mp3s or any large files to friends with your phone. Help my friends
out by checking it out at this site:

    mhome. guiang. net /cpp

Mobile Home (mHome), Mobile Share (mShare), and Mobile Sync (mSync)[/url]

They also just released the mShare and another app called mSync for
    the new G1 Phone.

Show my friends some love by signing up for the free apps.

It depends. I believe for iPhones, setting your internet access to Wi-Fi (and not 3G/EDGE) will not incur data plan charges because you are simply using 'free internet'. Most phones don't have this but if your phone can choose between 3G/EDGE or Wi-fi, then you don't need a data plan. Otherwise, you do need one.

3G/EDGE is the notation for cell phone internet access. It's like saying Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n is notation used for home computer and/or laptops.

For sending files, it's quick. For like a 1MB. file, it took about 45 seconds on our Blackberry phones (not using 3G technology).

if you dont have a data plan wont sending large files cost a decent amount of money if your not using wifi?
