I found a much better site Unlock HTC G2 | Network Unlock Code .... it supplies unlock codes for All HTC phones including htc g2 and is much cheaper then freeyourhtc site listed above. They also give full support via telephone or live chat - so you can see its a professional service.

Hi just try this, might it help you:
Put your SIM card in, switch phone on and you should be prompted to enter a SIM lock code, put your code in there and that's it - unlocked!
