Using iTunes:

NOTE: If you have iTunes installed on your computer you can use the software to sync contacts stored on your iPhone with a Google account. Then, you can re-sync the contacts from the account with the HTC Desire 626.

  1. Open iTunes on the computer
  2. Establish a USB connection between your iPhone and computer
  3. Once selected, the iPhone will pop-up in iTunes
  4. Access the "Info" tab on your iPhone
  5. Mark the check box associated with "Sync Contacts With"
  6. From the drop-down menu, select "Google Contacts"
  7. Sign in with your Google account or click "Configure" and select an existing account from the list
  8. Click "Apply" and wait for the syncing process to complete
  9. Once done, register the Google account on your HTC Desire 626, and allow it to sync contacts with your phone

Using iCloud:

NOTE: If you have used the iCloud service on your iPhone before, you can sign in to your iCloud account using a computer, and export the backed up contacts in the form of a VCF file for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on your computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your iCloud account
  3. Go to the "Contacts" section and mark the check boxes next to the contacts you wish to export
  4. Click "Settings" > "Export vCard"
  5. Once the VCF file is downloaded on your computer, import it to "Google Contacts" or:
  6. Connect the HTC Desire 626 to your computer via USB and copy the exported vCard file to the phone's storage. Next, launch the "People" app, press "Menu" > "Import/ Export" and follow the on-screen prompts

Use "My Contacts Backup":

NOTE: If you are looking for ways to transfer your contacts without needing a computer, you can install various third party apps like "My Contacts Backup". This app can help you back up your iPhone contacts, and send them in the form of a VCF file via email. To do this:

  1. Install "My Contacts Backup" on your iPhone from the App Store
  2. Launch the app and tap "Backup"
  3. Once the backup is done, tap "Email" to compose a new email containing the backup file as an attachment
  4. Send the email to your own Gmail address
  5. On the HTC Desire 626, open the email and download the attached file
  6. Import the file's contents using the "People" app and the "Import" option

Using "Send Anywhere":

NOTE: Last but not least, you can use "Send Anywhere" as a third party app for contact transfer. The app uses a P2P connection to transfer contacts and other types of files cross-platform, without the need of a PC.

  1. Open the Play Store and install "Send Anywhere" on the Desire 626
  2. Install the app on the iPhone from the App Store
  3. Launch the application on both handsets
  4. From the iPhone, tap "Send" > "Contacts"
  5. Mark the contacts you want to share and then select a method of transfer. You can tap "Receive" on the HTC smartphone, and enter the randomly generated transfer code from the iPhone. Alternatively, tap "Generate QR Code" on the iPhone and scan the resulting code with the Desire 626's camera to begin the transfer
