Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:
- Connect the HTC 10 to your computer via USB
- At the prompt, enable “Media device (MTP)” or “File Transfer (MTP)”, otherwise enable the option from the “notification” area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the desired audio files on your PC and copy them
- Transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones” / “Notifications” folders
- After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
Change the General Ringtone:
- Tap “Apps” on the home screen
- Launch “Settings”
- Tap “Personalize” and tap “Ringtone”
- Select the desired ringtone and tap “Apply”
Set a Custom Ringtone to a Specific Contact:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be assigned to contacts located on the SIM card or the phone storage.
- Open the apps drawer
- Launch “People”
- Select the desired contact
- Tap “Ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
- Tap “Apply”
Change the Notification Sound:
- Tap “Apps” on the home screen
- Open “Settings”
- Tap “Sound & notifications”
- Tap “Notification sound”
- Select the audio file you want to use for notification alerts
- Tap “Apply”
