Is there any way to desensitize the microphone?
I work in a factory setting and the background noise can override
my voice.
OR
Is there a wireless headset out there that might help with the problem.
Thanks for any help

Better handsets and better headsets have "noise-canceling" microphones, which
can really help in noisy environments. (Some handsets also have
noise-canceling signal processing, but I personally don't find it terribly
effective.) My suggestion is to look for a high-end name brand headset that
specifically mentions noise canceling. These will typically be boom-type, so
the microphone is close to your mouth. Try <http://www.plantronics.com/>.

Re: mic sensitivity
Look on the internet for a headset called "the boom" will solve all
your problems.

There are some bone-conductive microphones that pick up zero background
noise. The one I discovered (that I can't find now), only connected via a
cable. I wanted a Bluetooth connection.
