Just purchased an extra battery for my Nokia 8310 from www.formymobile.co.uk
The Battery says it is for a Nokia 7210 and is 3.7V instead of 3.6V (on my
    present 8310).

Is it OK to use the 7210 battery in the 8310 (it does work but I didn't
    leave it in for long).

I have emailed www.formymobile.co.uk but I suspect they are shut 'till
    Monday.

    Thanks in advance,

    Tim

It's not possible to get 3,7v from 1,2v rechargeable cells.

As the other reply noted, you probably have a counterfeit product. Unlike
most inoccuous fake parts, the fake batteries can be dangerous. There were a
batch of fakes that actually exploded due to poor contacts...
