Does anyone use the feature on the iPhone where you can keep your iPhone protected by a password when you unlock it? I find it annoying so do not have one but do worry about loosing it and someone being able to access all my things on it like MSN, email and eBay.

Re: iPhone Password Protect
I use the passlock feature on my 3GS. It's really not a big deal, once you get used to using it. Just sorta becomes automatic. I also change my password/number/thingy every few days, and have the automatic wipe feature enabled. Maybe it's because I deal with data security for a living. Or maybe it's because I'm such a nasty, paranoid, old bastard.
If you're doing any kind of ecommerce (eBay), banking, etc., on it, please consider using the passlock. The identity you protect might be your own.

What Uncle Wulf says...
You can also get one of the security apps to protect your more sensitive information/photos/video. From what I've read, the passcode thing is just an annoyance to anybody who wants your information. The other apps are 256-bit AES encryption...so they are orders of magnitude better than the passcode thing.

Bingo. Locks are there to keep the honest people honest. Encryption is there to actually protect your stuff.
