Turn On Low Power Mode (Battery Saving):
- Open the Settings menu
- Tap Battery
- Tap the switch associated with Low Power Mode and set it to ON
- To change how Low Power Mode works, you can enable / disable available options including Background app refresh, Mail fetch and so on
Turn Off Connectivity When Unused:
NOTE: By disabling Wi-Fi, Hotspot, Bluetooth, and GPS when not in use, you can improve battery life in the long run.
- Open Settings
- Tap the switches associated with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Personal Hotspot and Privacy (GPS) and set them to OFF
Switch to 2G Connectivity:
NOTE: If your iPhone runs low on battery, you dont have quick access to a wall socked or battery bank, and you wish to conserve battery life until the next recharge, you can temporarily switch to 2G connectivity to do so.
- Launch Settings
- Scroll to and tap Cellular
- Tap the slider associated with Enable LTE to disable the feature
Disabling Background Data:
- Open Settings
- Tap General
- Tap Background app refresh and perform one of the steps below:
- To enable / disable background data for a specific application, tap the switch next to the desired app
- To enable / disable background data for all applications, turn off Background App Refresh
Lower the Screen Brightness:
- While viewing the home or lock screen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen
- From the Control Center, drag the brightness slider towards the left side of the screen to decrease luminosity
Change App Sync Settings:
NOTE: By setting your phone to sync less data / less often, you can improve battery life in the long run. To do this:
- Open Settings
- Scroll to and tap Mail, Contacts & Calendars
- Tap Fetch New Data and select an account
- Tap Manual to turn off auto-sync
