Go with Metro. I"d go with smoke signals before I use these guys. Read on:

I'll quote their moderator:"Boost doesn't work for you? too bad, go to another provider". Don't waste your money with these guys. This is the kind of response you can expect when you complain about their inadequate service.

You've been warned. After me, the deluge.

that is true the ydo have a bigger network but nextel is only in urban areas its not in the country tha only phone that gets signal in the deep deep coiunty in north florida and places like that is cingular now att

Boost Mobile uses the Nextel iDEN network, which isn't the best...but is larger than Metro. Since Boost uses iDEN, there is little room for improvement, so I have a feeling they may be gone in a few years.

Metro PCS uses CDMA technology but is only available in very few markets nationwide. They offer roaming in some areas, but you are sometimes billed for this (depending on area). Metro markets to the younger audiences, while Boost markets to everyone. Since Metro is CDMA, they possibly have a bright future in front of them. They use the technology that is the primary one in the U.S.

I personally say for now Boost is the best choice. I think later Metro will have power over Boost.
hes right Metro will take over cause they are owned by Verizon think about it they have all tha same phones and when your phone is roaming its a Verizon message

Verizon doesn't own metropcs. As far as verizon buying metropcs, it's hard to see it happening because they verizon is in the cities where metropcs has service afaik.

Metro PCS is a subsidy of Verizon Wireless.

No thats not true, Nextel Powered by the Sprint CDMA Network is the Boost unlimited and can use the CDMA handsets and it is not IDEN.

seem theres a lot confusion there's iden and cdma handsets for boost , iden handsets work on nextel network (i776,i335...) and the unlimited bu boost handsets (c290,w385,krzr) but boost dont sale the cdma hansets no more, cdma network works better and faster internet and better coverage and they never have outages and problems with text msgs like iden does

    Re: Metro Vs. Boost unlimited

MetroPCS does well amongst the prepaid crowd for local calls; Cricket can't hold serve, and are badly managed. Boost, however, is distinguished by not only nationwide unlimited, but also nationwide PTT (Direct Connect with the button for instant communication). It is definitely marketed towards a couple of target segments, but to be honest, Boost (with its Direct Connect) can be a powerful communications tool for youth, parents & their kids, etc. And, now Boost has several phones with text messaging QWERTY keyboards - so that coupled with the button is an awesome instant communications package for youth & prepaid segment in general.

    Re: Metro Vs. Boost unlimited

depending on the area in which you are in...

Metro is good for a ppl who dont have credit or dont want any contracts. though their coverage is limited. at times weak signal and unreliable service.

Boost is also good for ppl who dont have any credit or dont want any contracts. their coverage is almost nationwide though u have to check the area of what they cover.
internet may not be great but its meh...

Personally i would prefer Boost mobile over Metro simply because in Northern California it has better coverage and more reliable service. Unlike metro once u hit the San Francisco City u are hunting down the signal.

It really all depends on where you live and what company offers what in your area.

If your basing your the companys based on cool phones.. Metro has it as of now but Boost is coming out with pretty slick phones coming as of late 09 and 2010.

but honestly who wants a Samsung Finess (touch screen) if your damn phone doesnt work i rather have a damn brick that works 95% of the time.

    Bottom line:

DEPENDS ON THE AREA YOU LIVE IN.

    Re: Metro Vs. Boost unlimited

okay guys for all of you who have BOOST mobile. let me tell yall something. This is a true story of when I had boost mobile last summer and it was awful!!! Well... This was b4 the unlimited and all that was introduced. well.. the city me and my fiance lived in at the time had a tornado sweep through and it destroyed a pretty good bit of stuff. I thank God we are okay now but let me get to the bad part of it. I had BOOST mobile at the time and I was in shock when we went out the same day(the tornado swept through at like 3:30 in the morning)after the tornado passed and all.I was going to use my BOOST phone to call all of my friends and family to let them know that me and my sweetie were okay. Well.. as I go to dial the number and press send to make the call, the screen on the phone reads "EMERGENCY CALLS ONLY". Well it was no where near time to pay my bill and I was wondering why my phone was saying this. Come to find out, when there is an emergency in your area, they take all of your service(every1 w/ nextel and boost)and they use the towers for emergencies. So,if there is ever an emergency like that, you are outta luck for real. My phone did not work until a day or 2 later. I was highly highly mad. Now i'm with Metro PCS and they are really good. They have expanded a whole lot over the years and their features are WAY FASTER and WAY BETTER than BOOST will ever think a/b being. BOOST messaging is very very deathly slow and the internet is crappy. So I recommend METRO PCS hands down because you are guaranteed to have service even if you do have a regional emergency.

#1 reason Metro PCS does have better phones/Value in their plans. For example, Boost Mobile aka (BootLeg Mobile) just playing i just hate Iden networks.. B.M has a $50 plan, but Metro PCS NOW has a $40 dollar plan which include Text/picture/web/nation calling + Extra more but + State taxes = $45 dollars a month if you pay online which is FREE!

Metro PCS beats B.M by $5 bucks. Thats $60 savings a Year!! can someone say "FREE Month per year + an extra $15" compared to B.M<

Now #2 Reason why Metro PCS is better. M.pcs has nation wide coverage over 11,000 cities now! & Last but not least, Metro PCS has 2 Samsung Touch Screens / BlackBerry / & a Windows Mobile 6' phones!!

Hello Metro & Goodbye BootLeg Mobile with ur left over network that is drowning in debt! lol
