u can set up ur cingular online account n look at all ur sms usage.

unlike t-mobile which can use #674#(#msg#) on the phone, i believe at this time, u can either go thru customer care or online account only.

Switch to T-Mobile and hit #674# and it will tell you exactly how many monthly text messages you've sent and received.

Re: how to check text messages?

In many markets, you can check your remaining messages available by dialing "*3282#" (*DATA#) from your wireless keypad. You will be charged one message. It will most likely be free once it is officially launched. Additonally, there is a widget with Mozilla Firefox which shows how many messages you have used. It also shows the anytime minutes balance. Unfortunately, it does not work properly with family plans. It only subtracts the minutes used by the single line. So if you have 700 anytime minutes to use and you used 100 minutes and the others in the plans used 400 minutes, Firefox shows the balance as 600 minutes rather than 200 minutes.
