Internet Explorer
I've never had a problem with IE. I'm the type that when I figure out a certain application, I tend to stick with it. Occasionally I'll try something different, but if I don't see anything better than what I'm already using, I stick with what I know.
I'm running XP with SP2 and the security features that were incorporated into the IE browser are fine. Virtually eliminated pop-ups. I dog on Microsoft about certain aspects of their software, but overall I like what they're doing.
Way back in the days of Windows 95 I used Netscape. It was slow and cumbersome. I'm sure they've made improvements along the way, but still would never have it on my machine.

Just getting started with Firefox. Mozilla Firefox kills 99.999% of popups. Gotta love that. However I have had problems running audio / video on Firefox. Need plugins, etc and Firefox site is not much help.
I left IE when I got adware that WOULD NOT go away. Delete it (I thought) in multiple places and it would return as soon as it saw IE fired up. It didn't look for Firefox.
So I guess that's not IE's fault. It's just that garbage is geared to ride on IE because they have 90+ % of the market.

While many cool featues are offered by active x and advanced java and stuff in Internet Explorer, it brings up too many security issues, that's why I used Opera and switched to IE when stuff didn't work (like Geocities sitebuilder popups {this is back in the day I swear!}). Besides tabbed browsing, Opera offered peace of mind. When I heard about Mozilla, I ditched Opera and their ads for a slightly better clone. Firefox evolved and now I use what everybody else is so all the plugin issues will work themselves out as more people use it. It's the best free browser around!

I'm using both Firefox & IE. There are some things that Firefox doesn't support ... yet! I'm sure they will eventually.
Get Foxy!!

I use Firefox because it is the most safest and easiest to use. Internet Explorer is probably one of the most unsafest browsers, alot of viruses and trojans get through IE
