what OS (XP, 98, linux etc) r u using??
if its XP, go to:
Tools, Folder options,
Select File types and then scroll down to the WMA file type
Click Advanced and then check the "show extension" checkbox.
AND THEN.......
Go to where your WMA files are and it should display the .WMA extension.
Right-click the file, select rename and change the extension from .WMA to .mp3˚˚°º §ereña º°˚˚

true. but it depends wht u r doing with the MP3.
If u want to convert it and put it onto CD, then definitely u need to download a media converter @ download.cm˚˚°º §ereña º°˚˚

Actually come to think of it. If u r copying them to an Audio CD (based on WMA in XP) u can select the option Copy to CD and go thru that process which converts them to an audio format playable on CD players.

EASY PEEZY
If you have NERO you can go to EXTRAS and use the FILE ENCODING tool which converts ANY format to an output format of your choice.
Its blumin` fast and reliable too.
Although you may need a patch for it but if your stuck I might have one.
Get in touch if you need it

Have fun

If you use winamp to convert it ..you have to play around in the preferences and change the output to mp3 instead of audio.

dbPoweramp works well for many many formats - including mp3, wma, ape, ogg, flac, etc...
http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm
You can encode between mp3 and WMA (and vice versa) as long as the digital rights management (protection) feature wasn't selected when the WMA files were created.
Why would you want to convert from one lossy compression to another? The quality will most likely suffer noticeably, or you're filesize will increse significantly (due to encoding at a much higher bitrate) just to keep the same quality.[.home] [.faq] [.search] [.active] [.chat] [.hitrax]
