Earlier in October the Android 4.3 and Sense 5.5 update has started to pop-up on a handful of HTC One variants in Europe. As expected, the initial roll-out was limited, but the update has now started to expand its reaches.

The good news is that HTC UK has now announced that the HTC One in UK should start receiving the aforementioned software package. As such, if you happen to own the flagship phone in question, then you should head down to the Settings menu > About and see whether or not you can download the update over the air.

As far as the changelog goes, the biggest changes come from the Sense 5.5 user interface itself. These include new BlinkFeed improvements such as the ability to add more news sources or save articles to read later or offline, the ability to create custom feeds from Twitter and YouTube, and of course, the option to completely disable BlinkFeed.

The Music app has also received a few new goodies, including an updated interface and new scenes. The Video Highlights feature gives the option to add soundtracks to videos, and once again, various updates have been done to the UI.

Now that Android 4.3 is out and expanding, we can start looking forward to Android 4.4 KitKat. HTC has previously announced that the aforementioned Android iteration will hit the HTC One in 90 days. More so, the Google Play edition of the device will be updated in a couple of weeks or so, whereas the unlocked and developer models should receive the update in 30 days.
