Cell Phone Reviews

Rumors about the Motorola Dinara landing in the US via AT&T as the new Atrix have circulated around the blogosphere for quite some time, and in case people were skeptical about its arrival, a couple of days ago the device has showed up on Motorola's official website, with full spec list and all those goodies.

It looked as if Motorola was getting ready to launch the device sooner than expected but unfortunately now it appears that the manufacturer decided to pull the Atrix HD from their website for unspecified reasons.

Nevertheless, we had plenty of time to take a look at what the handset has to offer in terms of both design and hardware.

On short, the Atrix HD boasts a 4.5 inch HD LCD screen with ColorBoost, a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 8 MP camera on the back mated with a 1.3 MP camera on the front, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage expandable by up to 32 GB via microSD, a 1780 mAh battery and Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box.

In terms of design the unit shown on their website was white, but same as the RAZR MAXX it appeared to have a Kevlar back cover.

Overall, a decent high-end device, but since Motorola is usually numbering their top-of-the-line handsets in the 900s, the Atrix HD does not appear to be their next flagship phone, solely because it has the model number MB886. This could mean that they're saving up the highest spot for the rumored Droid RAZR HD.

Let's hope the Atrix HD reappears on the Radar soon and that next time it will bring information about pricing and release date as well.
