In case you've recently purchased the Samsung Galaxy S3 then you're most likely not bored of the new TouchWiz UI, but chances are you're still curious about how the fresh Android 4.1 Jelly Bean looks and "feels" like.

Well, those who attended at this year's Google I/O event were able to experience the Jelly Bean OS ahead of time as Google gave away a package including the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and the Google Nexus 7 tablet, both of which were running on the very first official Jelly Bean build.

However, the update has not rolled out on any other device, but fortunately the guys over at XDA Developers were able to port the Android 4.1 version to the Samsung Galaxy S3.

In other words, if you wish to experience the Jelly Bean update on your Samsung Galaxy S3 now you can. All you need to do is head down to the XDA forums and follow their specific instructions step-by-step. However, keep in mind that this is not an official build meant for the SGS3 and it comes with a wide variety of missing features including Wi-Fi, camera, audio, storage, NFG and Bluetooth. It's not a build you can use on a daily basis, no question there, but it gives you the opportunity to experience the latest Android version.

Make sure you read the instructions carefully, and also browsing through the comments of other users who already got the update will also help. That way you will know what to expect ahead of time.
