Whenever we hear the name "Samsung" we're immediately thinking about the Galaxy S3 or the Note 2, simply because: 1. We're all smartphone enthusiasts here and we know how spectacular the aforementioned gadgets are, and 2. Both the SGS3 and the Note 2 have been a tremendous success and has established Samsung's dominance on the mobile market even further.

Nonetheless, the Korean manufacturer has a very rich smartphone line-up and there are plenty of gadgets to choose from, not only in the high-end market segment but in the low and mid-range as well.

Speaking of mid-range smartphones, Samsung has recently announced the Galaxy Xcover 2, a ruggedized Android-powered handset that can withstand a certain degree of mishandling (IP67 dust and water resistance) and comes with a 4 inch display boasting a resolution of 480 x 800, a dual-core 1 GHz processor, 1 GB of RAM, 4 GB of internal storage expandable by up to 32 GB via microSD, a 5 MP camera on the back as well as a VGA front-facing sensor, both of which work hand in hand with a dedicated camera button. Last but certainly not least, the Xcover 2 arrives with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box and features Samsung's TouchWiz Nature UX user interface on top.

Unfortunately though, the Korean smartphone manufacturer hasn't revealed any details concerning price and availability, but judging by earlier leaks and rumors the handset should go on sale sometime in February.
