Yes. I believe it does.
In my cell phone, if I press the cingular button on it, it has options such as "Hide my number", "Show my number", and all that stuff; so I just press "Hide my Number".

Theres an option on all Nokias in Call settings to do this, Be something like "Send caller identity"
And you could try puttin #31# before the number, that works here in ireland.

Who are you trying to hide from? Or are you crank calling? HEHEHE I think they are right above - then it shows up private caller on the other end...that should work

Re: how can i block my number
As far as I know, *67 blocks, and *82 unblocks all phones.
The mobile phone carriers vary in the caller ID, like Nextel will display the business name associated with the number (unless blocked) , but other carriers often only say "California caller" or something like that.
If a person in business wants to leave their name when calling, it could be a problem or maybe a blessing in disguise. Sometimes it's better to be anonymous.
That way, your customers will not try and call your business at odd hours !

Re: how can i block my number
Is this specific to only certain carriers or do all of them allow it now? I know with VOIP home and office lines it is common to have it as a free feature but I heard some cell carriers are trying to charge for it.

Re: how can i block my number
Will that only work on Nokia phones or will any other carrier do it too? Also is it a free charge? I remember years ago it was not free on land lines but with most VOIP providers now it is standard on most plans. I wonder if it is the same for a cell?
