Back Up Applications:

  1. Open the apps drawer
  2. Access “Settings”
  3. Swipe to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset”
  4. To back up Wi-Fi passwords, settings, and account data to Google’s servers, enable “Back up my data”
  5. To restore data automatically upon reinstalling apps, enable “Automatic restore”

NOTE: App data will be automatically restored once you log in with your Google account on the phone for the first time (example: after a fresh master reset).

Back Up Contacts:

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Access “Settings”
  3. Tap “Accounts” and select an account type to store your contacts on
  4. Tap “Menu” > “Sync now”

NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method can be restored automatically the next time you sign in with your Google account (after a fresh reset). You can also allow the account to sync contacts with your device

Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the Alcatel OneTouch Conquest to your computer via USB
  2. Drag the “Status” bar down and enable “Media sync (MTP)”
  3. In the AutoPlay window on the computer, click to browse the phone’s directories
  4. Locate the media files on your phone and transfer them in the desired backup location on your computer’s HDD
  5. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB connector

Restore Media Files on a Windows Computer:

  1. Connect the Alcatel OneTouch Conquest to your computer via USB
  2. Ensure that “Media Sync (MTP)” is enabled in the notification area
  3. In the AutoPlay window on the computer, select to browse the phone’s directories
  4. Open a second Explorer window and locate your backups
  5. Copy the backed up files and transfer them back on your phone (preferably the “Media” folder)
  6. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect it
