Back Up Apps:

  1. Access the phone’s “Settings” menu
  2. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset”
  3. Enable “Back up my data” to save Wi-Fi passwords, account data, and other settings on Google’s servers
  4. Enable “Automatic restore” to restore data automatically upon reinstalling apps

NOTE: App data will be restored automatically after you log in with your Google account for the first time on the phone (or after a fresh master reset)

Back Up Contacts:

  1. Open the apps drawer
  2. Go to “Settings”
  3. Tap “Accounts”
  4. Select the account you want to use for syncing contacts
  5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

NOTE: Contacts will be restored automatically the first time you sign in with the account used for the sync (for example after a factory reset).

Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

  1. Establish a USB connection between the Alcatel OneTouch Elevate and PC
  2. Swipe the “Status” bar down
  3. Ensure “Media sync (MTP)” is enabled
  4. From the AutoPlay window on the computer, click to browse the phone’s files and folders
  5. Locate the desired media files
  6. Copy the files and transfer them in the desired backup location on your computer
  7. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage from the system tray, and safely disconnect it from the computer

Restore Media Files from a Windows Computer:

  1. Connect the OneTouch Elevate to the PC via USB
  2. Make sure “Media Sync (MTP)” is enabled in the “notification” area
  3. From the AutoPlay window on the computer, browse the phone’s directories
  4. Open another Explorer window and locate the files backed up on the computer’s HDD
  5. Copy the files and transfer them on your phone, preferably in the “Media” folder
  6. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect it from the USB connector
