Changing the Ringtone, Alarm and Notification Sounds:

  1. While viewing the home screen, swipe the "status" bar down with two fingers
  2. Tap "Settings" and swipe to "Personalize"
  3. Tap "Ringtone" under "Sound" and select the desired ringtone before tapping "Apply"
  4. Tap "Notification sound" and select a sound from the list, then tap "Apply"
  5. Choose an alarm sound from the list after tapping "Alarm", and then tap "Apply"

Changing the Home Screen Wallpaper:

  1. Tap and hold an empty area on your home screen
  2. Tap "Home screen wallpaper" from the pop-up menu
  3. Perform one of the following:
    • Tap "Gallery" to select an image from the gallery. Crop, resize in and set it as a wallpaper by pressing "Done"
    • To select a photo from your computer, tap "Computer photos" > "HTC Get Started"

Adding a Widget to the Home Screen:

  1. Press and hold an empty area on the home screen
  2. Tap "Add apps and widgets" in the pop-up menu
  3. Tap the icon depicted as an arrow pointing down, and tap "Widgets"
  4. Browse through the list of widgets, or use the "Search" function to find one
  5. Tap and hold the desired widget, and then drag and drop it on top of the desired home screen

Changing the Properties of, or Resizing a Widget:

NOTE: Some widgets can be modified and / or resized (such as the "People" widget), by opening the widget's options menu. To do so:

  1. Locate the desired widget on your home screen
  2. Tap and hold the widget, and drag it over the "Settings" icon
  3. Customize the widget as you desire
  4. If you wish to resize a widget, tap and hold it until a blue border appears
  5. Drag the border to resize the widget

Customizing the Launch Bar:

Except for the "Apps" / "All Apps" icon, all shortcuts located on the launch bar can be replaced, giving you access to your most used / favorite applications. To replace the icons in the launch bar:

  1. Tap and hold an icon from the launch bar that you want to remove
  2. Drag the icon over the "Trash can" icon and release it there
  3. Next, touch the "All apps" icon
  4. From the apps drawer, tap and hold an app that you wish to move to the launch bar
  5. Drag the app on top of the empty space on the launch bar and release it to lock it in place

Adding Shortcuts to a Home Screen:

  1. Tap and hold an empty area on the home screen
  2. Tap "Add apps and widgets"
  3. Tap the button depicting a triangle pointing downwards, and tap "Shortcuts" or "Apps"
  4. Browse through the list of shortcuts and apps, or use the "Search" function to find the one you desire
  5. To add a shortcut, press and hold it and then drag > drop it over the home screen

Adding or Removing a Home Screen:

NOTE: you cannot add home screens before the BlinkFeed panel (if enabled)

  1. From the home screen, tap and hold an empty area
  2. Tap "Manage home screen pages" from the pop-up menu
  3. Swipe to the left and then tap "+" to add a new home screen panel
  4. To remove a panel, swipe to it and then tap "Remove"
  5. When you're done editing, press "Back"

Changing the Home Screen:

  1. Press and hold an empty area on the home screen
  2. Tap "Manage home screen pages"
  3. Swipe left or right and locate the desired home screen
  4. Tap "Set as home" and then touch the "Back" key

Creating a Folder on the Launch Bar or Home Screen:

  1. Tap and hold an app shortcut located on the home screen or in the apps drawer
  2. Drag the app on top of another one, and once you release it, a new folder containing the two shortcuts will be created
  3. To open the folder, tap it. To edit the folder's name, tap it and retype a name
  4. To add more app in the folder, tap "+" and browse for the desired applications
  5. To remove an application from a folder, open the folder and then drag > drop the desired app shortcut on top of the "trash can" icon
