Hello. I have an HTC Shadow, not the new shadow II. Anyways, I had to reset my phone to original factory settings because the memory card slot stopped working. After the reset, I found that my WiFi and my email did not work anymore. I really don't care about the email but I do care about the WiFi. I go to the communication manager, click on settings, then click on connection status and the status that shows up is: Driver is not loaded. Can anyone tell me how to get the wifi back on? Also, my dad also has the same Shadow so would it be possible to load the WiFi from his phone and transfer it to my phone?

Hi mate i dont no much about this phone.

But have you tried using the usb and connecting to the p.c?

If so do this and download a p.c suite for the phone from the internet or you might have a c.d!

If so install the software and connect to the p.c then go onto the suite and back all your things to the p.c so you dont loose anything! Been there before never good! Lmao!
Then after you have backed it all up try to look through the phone and connect to the internet through the cable on your computer. If it connects through that then your settings should be ok.

If not then you will need to look on Google or Dogpile any search engine you now I find Google is the best as it has everything you need to find.

And search the make and model of the phone also wifi settings

For example :- HTC SHADOW WIFI SETTINGS -:

And then you should find ither pictures of what to do or ither instructions anyone will do as it will still show you.

If you cant find it go on youtube and type the same thing in and i am sure on there a video will show you!

I really hope this helps mate as i said i dont no much about this phone just though i would tell you what i would do! Take it easy dude!

Also mate get back to me if i works also if it doesn't i will try and help you out as much as possible!

    Re: HTC Shadow problems

This phone was my first SmartPhone, and prob my favorite for a while!

Anyways, I reset that phone several times and never had any issues like this, did you try doing another reset? Maybe something didn't load back in properly.

If not, you need to go online and find the latest Shadow Update, download it and update the phone and see if that doesn't work.

A.F.A.I.K. you can not take settings out of one phone, duplicate them, and load them on another phone even if they are the same type of phone and model.

If none of the above work, I would say take it to a T-Mobile corporate store and see if they have seen the problem. My bet is that this has happened before, and there should be a guy who is "tech savvy" working there and able to recomend some other steps to take, others that we may not know here!

Good luck, and keep my posted!

perhaps you just need to download the wifi drivers? i'd check out xda developers to be sure before doing anything too crazy. a hard reset wipes out your personal stuff, so something went funky. sorry i couldn't be more help for ya. good luck!

    Re: HTC Shadow problems

Hey everyone. Sorry for this late reply (I was on vacation) and thanks for all the great help. My phone actually got worse. The wifi was only the first problem. The phone kept on opening programs on its own and then my keypad stopped working. So t-mobile is replacing the phone
