Contact Management

Adding a New Contact:

  1. While on the home screen, tap "Apps"
  2. Launch the "People" app
  3. Go to the "People" tab and press "+"
  4. Enter the contact's name in the proper field
  5. Select the type of contact and enter any additional information as you see fit
  6. Type in the contact's phone number in the appropriate field and tap "Save"

Editing a Contact:

  1. Launch the "People" app
  2. Go to the "People" tab
  3. Press and hold the contact that you wish to edit
  4. Tap "Edit contact" and perform the necessary changes
  5. Tap "Save"

Copying Contacts between Accounts:

  1. Launch the "People" app and go to the "People" tab
  2. Tap "Menu" > "Manage contacts"
  3. Tap "copy contacts" and select a contact type or an online account

Importing Contacts from an Exchange ActiveSync Account:

  1. Launch the "People" app
  2. Go to the "People" tab
  3. Type in the contact's email address or name in the search bar
  4. Tap "Search contacts in your Company Directory"
  5. Select the desired contact and tap the "+" button to import it

Importing / Exporting Contacts from the SD Card:

  1. Tap "Apps" while on the home screen
  2. Open "Contacts" and tap the "Menu" icon
  3. Tap "Manage contacts" > "Import / Export contacts"
  4. Select to "Export to SD card" or "Import from SD card"
  5. Mark the contacts that you wish to copy, or tap "Menu" > "Select all"
  6. Tap "Save"

Importing / Exporting Contacts from the SIM Card:

  1. From the apps drawer, launch the "Contacts" app
  2. Tap "Menu" > "Manage contacts"
  3. Tap "Import / Export contacts"
  4. Select to "Export to SIM card" or "Import from SIM card"
  5. Choose the contacts that you wish to copy, or tap "Menu" > "Select all"
  6. Tap "Save"

Deleting a Contact:

  1. From the apps drawer, launch the "Contacts" app
  2. Press "Menu" and tap "Delete contacts"
  3. Mark the contacts that you wish to remove and tap "Delete"

Sending and merging Contact Information:

Sending Contact Information:

  1. Launch the "People" application
  2. Go to the "People" tab and perform the following:
    • To send your contact information: touch and hold "My profile", and then tap "Send my profile"
    • To send another contact's information: press and hold the desired contact, and tap "Send contact as vCard"
  3. Next up, select a method of sharing
  4. Choose the type of information you wish to share
  5. When ready, tap "Send"

Sending Multiple Contact Cards:

  1. Launch the "People" app and go to the "People" tab
  2. Press "Menu" and tap "Send contacts"
  3. Mark the contacts that you wish to share, and tap "Send"
  4. Finally, select a method of sharing

Accepting Contact Link Suggestions:

  1. Open the "People" application
  2. Go to the "People" tab
  3. Press the available "Link" suggestion notifications
  4. Select the contacts that you wish to merge, from the list of suggested contacts

Merging Contact Information Manually:

  1. Open the "People" app and access the "People" tab
  2. Tap the contact that you wish to link
  3. Press "Menu" and tap "Link"
  4. From here, you can either tap the "Link" icon located under "Suggested links", or you can select one of the link options located under "Add contact"

Breaking the Link between Contacts:

  1. Launch the "People" app and access the tab with the same name
  2. Select a contact and tap "Menu" > "Link"
  3. Tap the link icon next to the desired account in order to break the link. (NOTE: the link is under "Linked contacts").

Managing Caller Groups

Creating a New Group:

  1. Launch the "People" app
  2. Go to the "Groups" tab and tap "+"
  3. Enter a name for the group
  4. Tap "Menu" > "Add contact to group"
  5. Select the contact that you wish to add and tap "Save"

Adding Contacts to an Existing Group:

  1. Launch the "Phone" application from the home screen
  2. Go to the "Groups" tab
  3. Select the desired group and tap the "Add" button
  4. Mark the check boxes next to the contacts that you wish to add
  5. Tap "Save"
