Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the HTC Desire 728 to your computer via USB
  2. Drag the “notification” bar down and make sure “Media data (MTP)” is enabled
  3. From the AutoPlay window on the computer, double-click to “view files and folders”
  4. Launch a second Explorer window and locate the desired audio files on your PC
  5. Copy the files and paste them in the first Explorer window on the phone storage, preferably in the “Notifications” / “Ringtones” folder(s)
  6. Once the transfer is done, click “Mass Storage Device” in the system tray to eject the phone storage
  7. Safely disconnect the phone from the USB

Change the General Ringtone:

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Go to “Settings”
  3. Tap “Personalize” > “Ringtone”
  4. Select the ringtone you want to use and tap “Apply”

Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:

NOTE: You cannot set custom ringtones to contacts stored on the SIM card or the phone’s internal memory.

  1. Open the apps drawer
  2. Launch “People” and select the desired contact
  3. Tap “Ringtone”
  4. Select the desired ringtone and tap “Apply”

Change the Notification Sound:

  1. Access the “Settings” screen
  2. Tap “Sound & notifications”
  3. Tap “Notification sound”
  4. Tap the notification sound you want to use
  5. Press “Apply”
