Clear App Cache / Data:
NOTE: If one of your apps doesnt work as it should or takes up too much space, you might be able to fix this behavior by clearing the apps cache or data.
WARNING! Clearing an apps data will remove all personal information stored within the app, such as saved games, settings, credit card and login information, high scores, profiles etc. As such you should try fixing the problems by clearing the apps cache.
- Open the apps drawer
- Launch Settings
- Swipe to Phone and tap Apps
- Access the All tab
- Select the desired application and tap Clear cache
- If necessary, tap Clear data > OK
Wipe the Phones Cache Partition:
NOTE: If your phone doesnt work as it should and youre considering master resetting it, then you might want to wipe its cache partition instead. This can have similar effects as a factory reset, without losing any personal data stored on the internal memory. To clear the cache partition:
- Turn off the phone
- Press and hold Volume Down
- Press and release Power
- Once the phone displays a black screen with red and blue lines of text, release Volume down
- From the aforementioned menu, press Volume down to navigate to and highlight Reboot to bootloader
- Press Power to select the highlighted option and reboot to bootloader
- From the bootloader menu, press Volume down repeatedly and highlight Boot to Recovery Mode
- Press Power
- From recovery, press Volume down and highlight Wipe cache partition
- Press Power
- Once the partition is cleared, Reboot system now should be highlighted
- Press Power to restart your phone

Reboot to Safe Mode and Remove an App:
NOTE: In case you have installed a third party app that causes problems and prevents you from removing it, you should be able to easily uninstall the app by rebooting the device in safe mode. In this mode, all third party apps are disabled.
- With the phone turned on, press and hold Power
- In the pop-up window, tap and hold Power off
- When prompted to Reboot to safe mode, tap Restart
- After the phone finishes restarting, you should see a Safe Mode message in the lower-left area of the screen
- To remove an application, first access Settings
- Scroll to Phone and tap Apps
- Swipe to Downloaded and select the desired application
- Tap Uninstall > OK
- To exit safe mode, press and hold Power, and then tap Restart to reboot your phone
