Sync iPhone Contacts With Google Using iTunes:

NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer with Internet access in order to sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. You can then sync the account data with the HTC 10 Lifestyle.

  1. Open iTunes on the computer
  2. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
  3. In iTunes, click the iPhone and go to “Info”
  4. Enable “Sync Contacts With” and select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Sign in with your Google account (or click “Configure” and select an existing account)
  6. Click “Apply” to begin the sync
  7. After the sync is complete, switch to the HTC device, sign in with the same Google account used in iTunes, and allow the account to sync contacts with your phone

Sync Contacts from iCloud Backup:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts have been previously backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with your account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in vCard format for Android use.

  1. Launch the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account
  4. Go to “Contacts” and select the contacts you want to share
  5. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  6. Once the vCard has been downloaded on the computer, perform one of the following:
    • Import the vCard to “Google Contacts” or:
    • Connect the HTC 10 Lifestyle to your computer via USB, copy the vCard to the phone storage, and use “People” to import the file to your phonebook

Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: Although the methods above require access to a computer with an active Internet connection, alternatively you can use third party apps to transfer your contacts. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and transfer iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
  2. Launch the app and tap “Backup”
  3. Wait for the vCard to be created and tap “Email”
  4. Write a new email and ensure the vCard is attached
  5. Send the email to your own address
  6. Switch to the HTC device, open the email and download the attached vCard
  7. Use “People” to import the file to your phonebook

Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app (for iOS and Android) you can use to transfer your iPhone contacts. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection and doesn’t require access to a computer.

  1. Go to the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Go to the Google Play Store and install the app on the HTC 10 Lifestyle
  3. Open the app on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send” again
  6. Lastly, choose a transfer method. You can tap “Receive” on the HTC 10 Lifestyle and enter the transfer code generated on the iPhone. Alternatively you can tap “Generate QR Code” on the iPhone and scan the code with the HTC 10 Lifestyle’s camera
