Sync iPhone Contacts with Google via iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account, and then sync the account data with your Android device.
- Launch iTunes on the computer
- Use the Lightning cable to connect your iPhone to the PC
- Click the iPhone in iTunes and access Info
- Turn on Sync Contacts With and select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account, or alternatively click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to start the sync
- Once the sync is done, switch to the HTC Desire 10 Pro and register the same Google account
- Allow Google to sync contacts with your Android phone
Sync Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts are already backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer with Internet connectivity and export the contacts in vCard format for Android use.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Log in with your iCloud account and access Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- After the vCard has been downloaded, follow one of these steps:
- Use the Internet browser on the PC to import the vCard to Google Contacts, or:
- Connect the HTC device to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use People to import it
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the methods above require access to a computer, you can also transfer iPhone contacts using third party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can be used to back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Open the app and tap Backup
- Wait for the vCard to be created and tap Email
- Make sure the vCard is attached to the email and send it to your own address
- Switch to the HTC phone, download the email attachment and import it using People
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another third party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on iOS and Android. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection to transfer contacts and other file types without requiring a computer.
- Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Access the Google Play Store and install the same app on the HTC Desire 10 Pro
- Launch the app on both smartphones
- Tap Send > Contacts on the iPhone
- Select the desired contacts and choose a transfer method, for instance Generate QR Code on the iPhone or Receive on the HTC device. Follow the on-screen prompts to finish the process
