Does anyone know where to get a data cable for the KX414 at a cheaper price than the manufacturer site. Or maybe if someone has the pinout so I could make them. If I have to buy one at full price I would rather not have to disect it to figure out how to make one. I will post the results if I do.

Has any one here ever tried to make a data cable for a cell phone?

The usb end is easy but I've never seen the Kyocera Kx414 cable before.

    Any help out there?

A pin out would be cool.

The kx414 cable plugs into the headset jack. Its the same cable as the Phantom, KE414, KE413 etc..

I have seen them on ebay for less than 40 bux, but I'm not sure how much they are on Kyoceras website.

I would love to make and sell the data cables, but I havent shelled out 40 dollars to disect one yet. I am working on making a USB powerd charger for the phone so you can charge at the office or from a laptop. I just need the service manual for the phone. Maybe I'll do a post for that.

    Hi Mr. java,
Have you found the way to make a data cable for the kx414?
I see that the plug that goes to the headset jack has 4 conector (so does the USB connector !!), do you think it could be a direct connection? does anyone have a cable to test this?
