Via iTunes:

Using iTunes you can sync the contacts from your iPhone with a Google account, allowing you to easily transfer the contacts to your Android smartphone by re-syncing them with it. This method requires a computer hooked up to the Internet, and iTunes installed on it.

  1. Launch iTunes on the computer
  2. Connect your iPhone to the computer via USB
  3. After it connects, the iPhone will appear in iTunes. Click it
  4. Access the "Info" tab and place a check mark next to "Sync Contacts With"
  5. From the drop-down menu, select "Google Contacts"
  6. Enter your Google account's log in details. Alternatively, click "Configure" an select an existing account, if available
  7. Click "Apply" to commence the syncing process
  8. On the Kyocera Hydro Life, register the same account as the one used in iTunes
  9. Set the account so that it can sync contacts with your Android device

Via iCloud:

In case you've used the iCloud backup service on your iPhone prior to finding this guide, then your contacts should be already backed up on your iCloud account. By signing in to it, you can export the contacts in the form of a vCard file ready for Android use. This method requires a computer with Internet access

  1. Open the Internet browser on your computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your iCloud account
  3. Go to "Contacts" and mark the contacts you want to share
  4. Click the icon depicting a cog wheel (in the lower-left area) and select "Export vCard"
  5. After the VCF file is downloaded on your computer, import it to "Google Contacts"
  6. Alternatively, connect the Kyocera Hydro Life to your computer via USB, and copy the vCard file to your phone's storage. Then, launch the "People" app and press the "Menu" key while on the "Contacts" tab. Then, tap "Import / Export" > "import from storage" > select an account if necessary and import the VCF file to your phonebook

Via "My Contacts Backup":

My Contacts Backup is a third party iOS application that can back up your iPhone contacts and send them to an Android device via email, in the form of a vCard file. This method doesn't require access to a computer.

  1. Visit the App Store and install "My Contacts Backup" on your iPhone
  2. Launch the application and tap "Backup"
  3. After the backup file has been created, tap "Email"
  4. Compose a new email with the VCF file attached to it
  5. Send the email to your Gmail address
  6. Switch over to the Hydro Life and open the email
  7. Download the attached vCard file and import it via the "People" application (as explained at the end of the iCloud guide)

Via Send Anywhere:

Last but not least, you can use "Send Anywhere" to transfer your contacts via a P2P connection without the need of a computer. This is an iOS and Android app that can transfer contacts and various types of files cross-platform.

  1. Go to the App Store and install "Send Anywhere" on your iPhone
  2. On the Kyocera Hydro Life, install the app from the Google Play Store
  3. Launch the app on both devices
  4. From the iPhone, tap "Send" > "Contacts"
  5. Choose the contacts you wish to share and tap "Send"
  6. Lastly, select the desired method of transfer. Tapping "Receive" on the Hydro Life allows you to commence the transfer once you enter the randomly generated transfer code from the iPhone. Alternatively, you can tap "Generate QR Code" on the iPhone and scan the code with the Kyocera's camera to begin the process
