The software that came with the cable is useless. You have to have the proper drivers for Bitpim to work right.

Im not trying to be hard here, but there are several drivers out there. Go to Yahoo and enter Bitpim drivers. Search for the one that is compatable with the version of Bitpim that you are trying to use. If you absolutly cant find them i will try and send you my driver, but i havent done that before and cant promise it will work.

i dont think they HAVE to be, but it cuts the file size in half... so its a good idea.

Well, i try not to make mine much longer than 30 seconds.. again, its not a rule, but your phone doesnt ring much longer than 30 seconds anyways, so youre wasting space if you have it longer.

My mp3's average about 400-500Kb each. I've also bumped the audio quality down from 128Kbps to 96Kbps without any noticeable difference, therefore wacking about 80-90Kb off the filesize...

AIM: DJMattB241 if you want to get into more detail about any of that.

is it possible for the music to keep "re-playing" after it ends? Cuz for mine, the music simply stops after it's been played once. However for the normal midi files, the phone would keep playing it until I pick up the phone or the other guy ended the call.

Well basically its not necessary. The phone stops ringing after between 30 and 40 seconds, and goes to voicemail, so if you make the mp3 about 35 seconds or so, it wont have the opportunity to loop.

Other than that, i'm afraid you'd need to loop the mp3 yourself (aka, bring it into Acid Music or something and make loops, making the file longer) and make it 35 seconds.

    did that make sense? lol
