I have an LG VU Plus phone. I am getting charges for data usage because I accidentally access the internet by hitting a shortcut key. Mobile email or GPS for example. Is there a way to hide these icons or set up the phone to ask yes or no to access these features? Thank you

Re: LG Vu Inadvertent data charges
Back up your personal data and then try this
277634#*# type in that on the phone keypad. It will present a menu where u can test the modem and other things. within these options is a network selector that allows you to turn off 3g or choose what bands to utilizes versus all of them. The e-mail client sounds great. I know there is plenty of things we can do with this phone. Lets keep posting on this thread when we learn new things. The network selector I believe is on modem settingsIf you find this post helpful, click on bottom of each post: Like l Share

Re: LG Vu Inadvertent data charges
Thanks. I tried 277634#*# then pressed the call button. "USSD service" appeared on the phone while accessing data. Then I got a message connection failed. I also tried 277634## without the *. Any other ideas?
