LG Optimus L9: Battery drain & lock screen problems after 2014 Update

So my LG Optimus L9 just update a couple days ago. I know what's causing my battery to drain. Whenever I press the power button (which locks the phone), my phone will go to lock mode (blank screen) and then one second later go to the lock screen! It's wasting my battery. For instance, today I was at 81% at 8:30, at 9:30 I was at 20%!! It's outrageous please help!
