Using iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes you can sync the contacts stored on your iPhone with a Google account, allowing you to then re-sync the contacts from the account with the LG G Flex 2. This method requires a computer with iTunes installed and access to the Internet.
- Open iTunes on the computer
- Connect the iPhone to your computer via USB
- Once connected, click the iPhone in iTunes to reveal the summary page
- From the "Info" tab, mark the "Sync Contacts With" check box
- Select "Google Contacts" from the drop-down menu
- Log in with your Google account, or alternatively click "Configure" and select an account from the list -assuming that you have previously added one already
- Click "Apply" to begin the syncing process
- Register the same Google account on the LG G Flex 2 and set it to sync contacts with your phone
Using iCloud:
NOTE: In case you have used the iCloud service on your iPhone before, your contacts should already be backed up on your iCloud account. Accessing your account using a computer with Internet access allows you to export these contacts for Android use.
- Launch the Internet browser on your computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your iCloud account
- Click "Contacts" and choose the contacts you wish to export
- Click the "Settings" button and select "Export vCard"
- Wait for your computer to download the vCard file, and then import it to "Google Contacts". Alternatively, skip this step and instead:
- Connect the LG G Flex 2 to your computer via USB and copy the vCard file to the phone's "sdcard" directory. Then, import the file's contents using the "Contacts" application
Using "My Contacts Backup":
NOTE: The methods described above both require access to a computer, but you can also transfer your contacts without needing one, through 3rd party apps. My Contacts Backup is a 3rd party app for iOS that allows you to back up the contacts on your iPhone in the form of a VCF file, which can then be transferred to another phone via email.
- Install "My Contacts Backup" on your iPhone from the App Store
- Launch the application and tap "Backup"
- Once the backup file is created, tap "Email" and compose a new email with the VCF file attached
- Send the email to your own Gmail address
- Switch to the LG G Flex 2, open the email and download the attached file
- Import the file's contents using the "Contacts" application
Using "Send Anywhere":
NOTE: Last but not least, you can use "Send Anywhere" to transfer your contacts cross platform without needing a computer. This is an app for both iOS and Android, and uses a P2P connection to transfer contacts and other types of files cross-platform.
- Launch the Play Store on the LG smartphone and install "Send Anywhere"
- Install the same app on the iPhone from the App Store
- Launch the application on both smartphones
- On the iPhone, tap "Send" > "Contacts"
- Select the contacts you wish to share and tap "Send"
- Choose a transfer method. You can tap "Generate QR Code" to create a QR code which can be scanned with the LG G Flex 2's camera to begin the transfer, or you can tap "Receive" on the LG and enter the randomly generated transfer code from the iPhone
