Back Up App Data:

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Go to “Settings”
  3. Tap “Backup & reset”
  4. Enable “Back up my data”

Back Up Contacts Using an LG Account:

  1. Go to “Settings”
  2. Tap “Backup & reset”
  3. Tap “LG Backup”
  4. Tap “Backup & restore” > “Back up data”
  5. Select “LG Cloud” if necessary
  6. At the prompt, sign in with your “LG Account”
  7. Select “Personal data” and deselect the other options
  8. Expand the “Personal data” folder” and select “Contacts” if necessary
  9. Tap “Start” and wait for the backup to complete
  10. At the “completed” pop-up, tap “Done”

Back Up Content to the SD Card:

  1. Open the “Settings” menu
  2. Tap “Backup & reset”
  3. Tap “LG Backup” > “Backup & restore”
  4. Tap “Back up data” and make sure “SD Card” is selected
  5. Choose the items you want to back up
  6. Tap “Start” and wait for the process to complete
  7. At the “Back up completed” prompt, tap “Done”

Back Up Media Files Using Your Phone:

  1. Go to “Settings” and tap “Backup & reset”
  2. Tap “LG Backup” > “Backup & restore”
  3. Select “Media data” and deselect the other options
  4. Expand the “Media data” folder and select the media files you want to back up
  5. Tap “Start”
  6. At the “Back up completed” pop-up, tap “Done”

Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

  1. Use the USB cable to connect the LG K4 to your PC
  2. At the prompt, select “Media sync (MTP)”, otherwise enable the option from the Notification area
  3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate the media files on your phone
  5. Copy the files [or the desired “.sbf” backup file(s)]
  6. Transfer them in the desired backup location on your computer
  7. When done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
