Restore App Data:

  1. Swipe the “Status” bar down while viewing the home screen
  2. Open “Settings”
  3. Access the “General” tab if necessary
  4. Tap “Backup & reset”
  5. Under “LG Backup”, tap “Restore from backup”
  6. Select the backup file you want to restore
  7. Tap “Start” and wait for the “Restored” prompt
  8. Tap “Done”. If necessary, wait for your device to reboot and complete the process

Restore Contacts from an SD Card Backup:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to “General”
  3. Tap “Backup & reset”
  4. Under “LG Backup”, tap “Restore from backup”
  5. Locate and select the SD card backup you want to restore
  6. Tap “Start”
  7. When prompted with “Restored”, tap “Done”
  8. If necessary, wait for your device to reboot

Restore Media Files From Your Phone:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Tap “General”
  3. Tap “Backup & reset”
  4. Under “LG Backup”, tap “Restore from backup”
  5. Locate and select the media backup files you want to restore and tap “Start”
  6. At the “Restore completed” prompt, tap “Restart” and wait for your phone to reboot

Restore Media Files from a Windows Computer:

  1. Connect the LG device to your computer via USB
  2. When prompted, enable “Media sync (MTP)” or “File Transfer (MTP)”, or enable the option from the “Notification” area
  3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate the media file backups, or the desired “.sbf” backup file you want to restore
  5. Copy and paste the file(s) on the phone storage
  6. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
