Enable Battery Saving Mode:

  1. Go to “Settings”
  2. Access the “General” tab
  3. Under “Phone Management”, tap “Battery & Power saving”
  4. Turn on Power saving and enable or disable the available Power saving options
  5. Select a battery percentage at which Power saving mode enables automatically

Adjust Video Quality in Games:

  1. Go to “Settings”
  2. Access the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Phone Management” and tap “Battery & Power saving”
  4. Disable “Game optimizer”

Disable Smart Settings Unused at Home:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Access the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Smart functions”
  4. Tap “Smart settings”
  5. Set the smart settings switch to “OFF”

Decrease Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to the “Display” tab
  3. Under “Basic Settings”, tap “Brightness”
  4. Drag the brightness slider towards the left side of the screen to decrease luminosity
  5. Tap “Screen timeout”
  6. Select a lower value such as “15 seconds”

Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: By turning off Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and Hotspot while these features are unused, you can improve battery life in the long run.

  1. Swipe the “Status” bar down on the home screen
  2. Go to “Settings”
  3. Access the “Networks” tab
  4. Scroll to “Connectivity” and tap “Tethering”
  5. Tap “Mobile Hotspot” and set the toggle to “OFF”
  6. Go back to “Settings” and set the “Wi-Fi” and “Bluetooth” switches to “OFF”
  7. Return to the “General” tab and scroll to “Personal”
  8. Tap “Location (GPS)” > “Mode”
  9. Select “Battery saving (networks only)”

Use 2G Temporarily:

NOTE: If your phone runs low on battery and you want to conserve battery life until the next recharge, you can do so by temporarily switching to 2G connectivity.

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Access the “Networks” tab if necessary
  3. Under “Connectivity”, tap “More”
  4. Tap “Mobile networks” > “Network mode”
  5. Turn on “GSM Only”

Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: By changing the sync settings of your apps / accounts to sync less data, you can improve battery life in the long run.

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Go to the “General” tab
  3. Under “Personal”, tap “Accounts & Sync”
  4. Disable “Auto-sync data”
  5. Under “Accounts”, select an account / app for which you want to change sync settings

Turn Off Background Data:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Tap the “Networks” tab
  3. Tap “Mobile data” > “Menu”
  4. Enable “Restrict background data”
  5. Tap “OK”

Minimize Third Party App Usage:

NOTE: Certain third party applications perform regular background processes, and as such they can affect battery life even when they are not in use. By disabling or removing unused third party apps, you can improve battery life in the long run.

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Go to the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Phone Management”
  4. Tap “Apps” and access “Downloaded”
  5. Tap and hold the desired app
  6. Tap “Force stop” / “Disable” to turn off the app
  7. To remove the app, tap “Uninstall”
