Sync iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. You can then sync the account data, including contacts, with the LG V20.

  1. Launch iTunes on the computer
  2. Connect the iPhone to your computer via the Lightning cable
  3. In iTunes, click the iPhone once it connects
  4. Go to “Info” and enable “Sync Contacts With”
  5. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu and sign in with your Google account
  6. Alternatively, click “Configure” and select an existing account
  7. Click “Apply” to start the sync and once the sync is complete, register the same Google account on the LG V20
  8. Allow the account to sync contacts with your LG device

Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud Backup:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts have already been backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet, and export the contacts in vCard format for Android use.

  1. Launch the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your iCloud account
  3. Go to “Contacts”
  4. Select the contacts you want to share and click “Settings”
  5. Click “Export vCard” and wait for the vCard to be downloaded on the computer
  6. Follow one of these steps:
    • Use the Internet browser to import the vCard via “Google Contacts”, or:
    • Connect the LG V20 to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage, and use “Contacts” to import it

Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: While the methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can transfer your iPhone contacts using third party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can be used to back up iPhone contacts and share them via email.

  1. Launch the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
  2. Tap “Backup”. This will create a vCard file containing your iPhone contacts
  3. Once done, tap “Email”
  4. Make sure the vCard is attached to the email, and send it to your own address
  5. Switch to the LG V20, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  6. Import the vCard using “Contacts”

Via “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Another third party app you can use, on Android and iOS, is Send Anywhere. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection to transfer contacts and other file types cross platform, without requiring a computer.

  1. Go to the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Install the app on the LG V20 via the Google Play Store
  3. Open the app on both devices
  4. Tap “Send” on the iPhone and tap “Contacts”
  5. Select the contacts you want to share and tap “Send”
  6. Lastly, choose a transfer method. Example: you can tap “Generate QR Code” on the iPhone and scan the code with the LG V20 camera, or tap “Receive” on the LG device and enter the code generated on the iPhone
