E815 Wont Charge

Hello everyone,

I currently have an old E815 ebay special that has been working great up until this past week.

When trying to plug it into a charger it is like the contacts touch then when it is bumped it turns off or wont charge properly.

This has always been the case for these phones but now my phone wont even acknowledge that there is a charger connected.

I'm about to just order another ebay phone for $40, I just need a cheap phone to last until New Years so that I can restart my contract and get a new good phone.

Any help is appreciated.

I know the connections are fidgety on these phone, and occasionally I would clean the contact mating surface.

I wanting to get rid of one of my E815 phones, has the home charger new motorla leather case and belt clip with it if you are interested.

I got mine on ebay for $50 shipped...

Right now I'm looking at a Kyocera bar phone for $41 shipped.

If it will be a clear esn, alltel phone, let me know what your price is shipped.

I just need a phone for a month.

I would like to do some more research before committing to anything. I'm going to be researching this Kyocera phone tonight. I'd rather not have the finicky issues with any phone. For $41 compared to $40 shipped to avoid the plug issue, I would rather get the other phone.

I'll wait for pictures from you, and do my research and reconvene.

get a technician to look at the charging port on the circuit board ! It could be a simple problem as only the charging port contacts needing to be re-soldered
