Transferring documents to motorola moto g lte

Is there a simple way of dragging and dropping word and PDF documents to my motorola moto g lte?

I am not a dufus but this is escaping me at this time!

is the phone connected to your computer and is it set as a mass storage device? Another way you could do it is to upload the docs to google docs and install the google docs app on your phone. Of course then you have to download the docs to the phone through the app.

On your computer or the phone? I would imagine you select connect as media device.
