Adding or Deleting a Contact:

  1. From the start screen, tap the "People" tile
  2. Swipe to "All"
  3. Tap the "+" button
  4. Assuming that you're signed in to multiple accounts, select one
  5. Tap a contact detail, fill the fields as desired and tap the "Save" icon
  6. Once all the details are added, tap "Save"

Note: To delete a contact, press the "menu" button depicting three horizontal dots and tap "Delete"

Saving a Number From a Received Call:

  1. Press the "Phone" tile
  2. In the call history list, select the phone number that you wish to add
  3. Tap the "Save" icon
  4. Tap the "+" icon
  5. If necessary, edit the phone number type and tap "Save"
  6. Enter a name for the contact, edit the rest of the details and tap "Save"

Saving a Number from a Received Message:

  1. Press the "Messaging" tile
  2. Select a conversation from the list
  3. At the top fo the conversation screen, press the phone number and tap "Save"
  4. Tap the "+" icon, edit the phone number / type and tap "Save"
  5. Edit the contact's details and name, then tap "Save"

Linking Contacts:

  1. Press the "People" tile
  2. Swipe to "All"
  3. Select the main contact that you wish to link to, then press the "link" icon
  4. Tap "choose a contact" and then tap the contact you wish to link

Copying Contacts From the SIM Card:

  1. From the Start screen, tap the "People" tile
  2. Tap the button depicting three horizontal dots
  3. Press "Settings" > "import SIM contacts"

Creating, Editing or Deleting a Contact Group:

  1. Tap the "People" tile on the Start screen
  2. Swipe to "together"
  3. Tap the "+" icon and tap "Groups"
  4. Write a name for the group, then tap "Save"
  5. Press "+" and add a contact. Tap "+" again to add another contact
  6. Tap the "Done" button depicting a check mark
    • To add a new group contact: press the "Groups" icon, tap "+" and add a contact
    • To remove a contact from a group: Tap the "Groups" icon, select the contact and tap "remove from group"
    • To rename a group: Press the "menu" button, tap "rename" and type in a new name
    • To delete a contact group: Select the desired group and tap "menu" > "delete"

Creating a Sharing Room:

Note: In order to use this feature, you need to sign to your Microsoft account. Additionally, this feature works best on Windows Phone 8 smartphones, but Windows Phone 7 devices can still join rooms and set up shared calendars.

  1. To create a room for sharing, press the "People" tile
  2. Swipe to "Together"
  3. Tap "+" and tap "Room"
  4. Write the name for the room, then tap "Save"
  5. Swipe left or right to switch between group chat, note, photo album or calendar
  6. To invite a contact in the room, press the "group" icon, tap "+" and add a contact
