Change the Facebook Notification Options
After you sign in to Facebook on your BlackBerry Z10, the Facebook notifications will start appearing automatically in the BlackBerry Hub.
1. From the Home screen, swipe down.
2. Tap Settings -> tap Accounts -> tap Facebook.
3. Then you can make one of the following settings:
turn off all Facebook notifications by setting the Enable Notifications switch to OFF.
if youd like to no longer receive Facebook messages in the BlackBerry Hub, you need to trun the Sync Messages switch to OFF.
if you no longer want to add Facebook events to your Calendar, then set the Sync Events switch to OFF.
to change when youre reminded about your Facebook friends birthday, you need to tap the Birthday Reminds list.
4. After you've made all the necessary changes, tap Save.
Change your Facebook Settings
You have the option of changing your privacy settings, profile information, security settings and more. To do so, you need to:
1. From your Facebook account, tap the Menu icon.
2. Then tap Settings and complete the on-screen instructions.
Changing Your Video, Photo and Facebook Places Permissions
If this is the first time using Facebook on your BlackBerry Z10, then youll be prompted to allow Facebook to access your camera, location and files. If you decide to allow the app to have access to the aforementioned information, then youll be able to upload photos and videos as well as checking into Places. But if you don't like sharing information, you can turn off access to these features any time youd like to.
1. From the Home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.
2. Then tap Settings -> tap Security and Privacy -> select Application Permissions -> tap Facebook.
3. You can then select one of the following options:
if youd like to stop uploading photos that you took with your smartphone, then set the Camera switch to OFF.
if you no longer want to upload files, such as videos or photos, then set the Shared Files switch to OFF.
to stop checking into Facebook Places, you need to set the Location switch to OFF.
