Adding a BBM Contact

  1. From the Apps screen, tap BBM.
  2. Then tap the right Menu icon and select Invite to BBM -> tap the Scan icon and scan the barcode of your contact.

Starting a BBM Chat

  1. Open BBM and from the BBM Home screen, tap the Contacts icon located at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Select the contact you would like to chat with -> then compose your message.
  3. When finished, press the Return key.

Inviting Others to Chat

  1. While in an active chat, tap the Menu icon located at the bottom right side of the screen.
  2. Then tap Invite More -> enter the desired contact name -> select the contact that you wish to add and tap Done.

Peeking at Your Chats

  1. Open BBM and from the BBM Home screen, select the chat that you wish to check out.
  2. To peek at the chats, swipe right and then just select the chat that you want to open.

Pinging A Contact

  1. Open BMM and go to the BMM chat history.
  2. Then tap the Menu icon located at the bottom right side of the screen and tap Ping.
    Note: When you Ping another BlackBerry device, that particular device will start to vibrate (unless the device is set to silent) and PING will appear on the screen.
