Connecting to a Wi-Fi Network
- Go to the Apps screen and drag down the Top Frame/Notifications Bar.
- Then tap Wi-Fi -> select the network you would like to connect to and then tap Connect.
Turning Wi-Fi Notification Off
If the Wi-Fi notifications are turned off, you will no longer receive a pop-up message when accessing apps that require high-data-usage.
- Go to the Apps screen and drag down the Top Frame/Notifications Bar.
- Then tap Wi-Fi -> touch the Advanced icon located at the bottom left corner of the screen.
- Then check Prompt when a saved Wi-Fi hotspot is found near checkbox.
Turning Bluetooth On/Off
- Go to the Apps screen and drag down the Top Frame/Notifications Bar.
- Then to turn Bluetooth On, tap the Bluetooth icon.
- To turn it back off, tap the Bluetooth icon again.
Pairing with a Bluetooth device
- Go to the Apps screen and drag down the Top Frame/Notifications Bar and tap Bluetooth.
- Then turn the Bluetooth switch to On and select the Bluetooth device you would like to pair with.
- The other Bluetooth enabled device needs to be set to discoverable mode and in case youre requested to enter a password, you could try 0000 or 1234, as these passwords are the most common ones used.
- Then tap Yes to confirm the connection.
Turning Mobile Hotspot On/Off
- Go to the Apps screen and drag down the Top Frame/Notifications Bar.
- Tap Settings -> tap Network Connections and then scroll to Mobile Hotspot -> tap Mobile Hotspot.
- To turn Mobile Hotspot to on, slide the toggle to On.
- If you want to turn Mobile Hotspot to off, just slide the toggle to Off.
- Its recommended to plug in your BlackBerry Q10 in order to conserve the power usage.
Setting Mobile Hotspot Security
- Go to the Apps screen and drag down the Top Frame/Notifications Bar.
- Tap Settings -> tap Network Connections and then scroll to Mobile Hotspot -> tap Mobile Hotspot.
- Then tap the Menu icon and select Configure -> tap Security type and select the desired security type.
- In the Password field enter a password for your Mobile Hotspot.
- When done, tap Save.
Turning Internet Tethering On
Using Internet Tethering you can share your internet connection with another handset.
- Go to the Apps screen and drag down the Top Frame/Notifications Bar.
- Tap Settings -> tap Network Connections -> scroll down to Internet Tethering -> tap Internet Tethering and slide the toggle to On.
- Connect to your device via a Bluetooth or USB connection.
